Care & Instructions
At Tuenpx, we design our clothing to last — timeless pieces made with care, attention, and quality materials. To help you keep your garments looking and feeling their best, please follow the care instructions below.
Proper maintenance not only preserves fabric quality but also extends the life of every item you own.
General Care Tips
-
Always read the care label attached to your garment before washing.
-
Wash similar colors together to avoid color transfer.
-
Turn clothing inside out before washing to protect the outer surface.
-
Use mild detergent and avoid bleach or harsh chemicals, as they can damage fibers and fade colors.
-
Do not overload the washing machine — this ensures fabrics can move freely and reduces wear.
Washing Guidelines
Different fabrics require different care. Here’s how to best look after your Tuenpx pieces:
-
Cotton & Cotton Blends: Machine wash cold or at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Reshape while damp and air dry.
-
Denim: Wash inside out in cold water to maintain color. Avoid frequent washing — spot clean when possible.
-
Knitwear & Wool: Hand wash in cold water using mild detergent. Lay flat to dry to prevent stretching. Do not wring or tumble dry.
-
Linen: Machine wash on a gentle cycle in cold or lukewarm water. Iron while slightly damp for best results.
-
Synthetics (Polyester, Nylon, etc.): Wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Air dry or tumble dry on low heat.
-
Delicates (Silk, Rayon, etc.): Hand wash in cold water or use a delicate machine cycle with a mesh laundry bag. Hang or lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight.
Drying Instructions
-
Air drying is recommended for most garments to maintain their shape and longevity.
-
If using a tumble dryer, choose a low heat setting and remove items promptly to reduce wrinkles.
-
Avoid hanging heavy garments (like sweaters) as this can cause stretching — instead, lay them flat to dry.
-
Keep all clothing away from direct sunlight during drying to prevent color fading.
Ironing & Steaming
-
Always check the care label for the recommended heat setting.
-
Use a warm (not hot) iron on cotton and linen; use low heat for synthetics and delicate fabrics.
-
To protect delicate fabrics, iron inside out or place a clean cloth between the fabric and the iron.
-
Alternatively, use a handheld steamer to remove wrinkles gently — ideal for delicate and structured garments alike.
Storage Tips
-
Store clothing in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
-
Use wooden or padded hangers for shirts, jackets, and dresses to maintain their shape.
-
Fold heavy knits to prevent stretching and distortion.
-
Keep garments clean before storing — dirt or body oils can attract pests or discolor fabrics over time.
-
For seasonal pieces, use breathable garment bags rather than plastic covers to prevent moisture buildup.
Caring for the Planet
At Tuenpx, we believe that caring for your clothes means caring for the planet too.
By washing less often, using cold water, and air drying whenever possible, you can reduce energy use and extend the lifespan of your garments — creating less waste and a smaller environmental footprint.
